Museums
- Museo Nacional de Antropología (the sala Mexica and the central foutain are incredible)
- Museo Nacional de Historia Castillo de Chapultepec (the only castle in Latin America)
- Palacio de Bellas Artes (majestic art nouveau palace with murals by Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and José Clemente Orozco)
- Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (inside the university city complex)
- Museo Nacional de Arte (beautiful neoclassical architecture)
- Museo Frida Kahlo – Casa Azul (Kahlo’s primary residency and studio)
- Museo Casa Kahlo – Casa Roja (Kahlo family residence)
- Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli (huge prehispanic art collection in a huge volcanic rock construction)
- Museo Jumex (one of the most prominent contemporary art museums in the city)
Parks and plazas
- Bosque de Chapultepec (biggest urban forest in Latin America, you can visit its Lake, the Zoo or simply stroll in nature with a monkey plushie on your head!)
- Centro de Coyoacán (a great place to grab a coffee, visit bookstores and grab a bite)
- Plaza Santa Catarina (Bianca’s favourite church and plaza)
- Plaza de la Constitución – Zócalo (political, social and religious heart of the city)
- Plaza de la República (in the heart of the city, be sure to check out the viewpoint on top of the monument)
- Parque Hundido (below the surface of the street in a chill part of the city)
- Parque Machado (in the heart of the Polanco area, just in front of the National Conservatory)
Restaurants, food spots and coffee shops
- Mercado de Coyoacán (don’t miss the delicious shrimp and octopus tostadas!)
- Taquería Los Cuñados (true local taquería, near Bianca’s home and her family’s favourite)
- Birria Don Pepe (same as Los Cuñados, but with focused in birria dishes)
- Don Asado (an Uruguayan restaurant with a Mexican twist)
- La Casa de Toño (restaurant chain with all kinds of Mexican typical dishes)
- Fonda 99.99 (peninsule cuisine, try the delicious cochinita pibil)
- Mercado de San Juan (you can find all kinds of exotic meats and fruits)
- Café El Jarocho (emblematic coffee shop in the heart of Coyoacán)
- Bo Pastisseria (try the delicious guayaba mousse!)
Monuments and other interesting spots
- Monumento a la Revolución (viewpoint in the center of the city)
- Torre Latinoamericana (it’s possible to see the Cathedral, the volcanoes and the Basilica from here)
- Biblioteca Central UNAM (monumental library in the university city)
- Biblioteca Vasconcelos (megalibrary with floating shelves)
