El Pollo de la Ciudad de México:

- Safe areas – This is México City’s Chicken, a useful guide to which areas of the city are considered «safe for tourism.» Like many big metropolises, CDMX has beautiful areas, as well as conflictive zones that, as a tourist, is better to avoid. Neighborhoods such as Roma, Condesa, Coyoacán, San Rafael, Del Valle and Polanco are considered generally safe and have tons of places to visit. If you wold like to visit places outside of El Pollo, we are more than happy to guide you / accompany you there.
- Language – Tipically, some areas have a larger influx of tourism, so they will be able to communicate with you, take your order or help you in English. However, Spanish is the most spoken language in the city, so we highly recommend you to learn a few expressions to help you navigate the city more easily.
- Communication – Undine and Bianca will be always available on WhatsApp or Instagram to answer all your questions. There are multiple free WiFi spots around the city, especially in coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets, but if you would like to use a temporary data plan, please let us know in advance.
- Transportation – We generally recommend using Uber for longer distances, with the option to pay with card, PayPal or Apple Pay. If you would like to try the Metro or Metrobús, we recommend you to purchase your Tarjeta de Movilidad Integrada at any station and always carry it with enough balance.
- Street smarts – Stash your valuables in bags you carry close to your body, be aware of your surroundings and be cautious on empty or isolated streets at night.
